Soccer Sensations.....
Well... one varsity soccer game, one win.
The Blue Devils took care of business in their first ever match with a 4-0 win over Mid Valley. If this keeps up, OF soccer fans will be just as obnoxious as the rest of OF sports fans. Let's hope it happens.
Here are some photos, including one just before the first ever Blue Devils goal was scored. That was Jon Casey doing the honors. The other photos are of Matt Rava (23) and family members J Argonish (22) and Asst. Coach Woody "Renzi" Argonish with nephew Cyril.

Good job Blue Devil Soccer, wish this sport best of luck at Old Forge. It has been a long way coming, and I am glad it has reached varsity level.
Rick, what do you think of a possibility of a kicker from the soccer team like so many HS teams now do?
Steve,
Matt Rava is the OF kicker this year. He kickoff to the 26 and 13 against RV and had a couple nice punts. His avg wasnt great cuz he had a ball snapped over his head that he kick for a -14 yard punt.
Rick
Rava eh? Any relation to Mike Rava who played for North Pocono in the early 2000's, then transferred from Pitt to Colgate to be their place kicker?
its his brother
Rick, after a few attempts of getting into blogging, I've decided to start one. Prob. I am more motivated with something to write about with the sports seasons start to pick up.
