Ok, I'm disturbed.
Rick, I went to the Dunmore/Riverside game tonight in Taylor. Riverside strives on the big play, and with Klebon back in his first game, he is still hurt but obviously playing through the pain.
I was very surprised seeing how big Dunmore was, then seeing the Riverside speed wear them down. It was the best running back match up I have ever seen with Klebon/Perry since Trich/Jackson in 1999. I don't know the stats but I would bet both had to have over 150 a piece.
Any chance Old Forge has a shot at the Vikes for the District 2? I haven't seen the Devils this year, this was my first time seeing the Vikes, but they look like a team who just wins with speed and getting the big plays throughout the game.
Armstrong is also a fantastic play caller on offense IMO, and has some phenomenal schemes on defense with blitz packages. Have to give him credit for that.
The only thing I don’t like about RV is one of the cockiest bunch of players I have ever seen, esp. #35, Talerico. Its good to have swagger, but it was just too much for my taste.
