On June 12, 1992 the Old Forge Blue Devils baseball team won the PIAA Class 2A Baseball Championship, beating District 9 champ Ridgway, 15-5. The Blue Devils were decided underdogs.On June 12, 2009, the Old Forge Blue Devils softball team will try to accomplish the same fete, and win the school's first female state championship when they take on District 9 champ Curwensville. Again, the Blue Devils will be decided underdogs.

And yes, one other thing, Friday will be the 17th anniversary of the state championship baseball team. Old Forge softball coach Pat Revello wears jersey No. 17!!!
