RIP George Carlin

"Censorship that comes from the outside assumes about people an inability to make reasoned choices."

Ah so true a statement by the great - and now late - George Carlin.

Carlin was a true comedic talent and one of the more intelligent people to grace the stage as a funnyman.

Brother Rob and I once saw him at the Masonic Temple (Cultural Center for all you youngins) and he was hilarious.

If you were never able to see him in person, check him out on YouTube. Here is his most famous bit, "The seven words you cannot see on TV."

Enjoy!

Kim Granahan collects her thoughts after the Blue Devils were eliminated by Upper Dauphin in the PIAA Class 1A Eastern Final.

Granahan didn't go down without a fight, smacking two singles and driving in a run in her last game wearing the Blue and Gold.

Almost perfect

Jess Armillay struck out 11 batters and allowed just a seventh inning infield single as Old Forge advanced to the PIAA Class 1A Eastern Semifinal with a 7-0 win over Montgomery.

The Blue Devils will play West Branch at a site and time to be determined.

Good job DEVILS!!!!

WOW Another AOW!!!

He is beginning to take on cult like fandom - and deservedly so.

Mario Nese was named this week's Scranton Times Athlete of the Week. Nese was 3-for-3 with 4 RBI in the Devils D2 win over Northwest.

The Old Forge DH provided the spark for the victory by scoring from second on an infield single to tie the game and get the Blue Devils offense rolling.

Nese becomes the third Devil to be named AOW during the spring season, joining Kyle McMyne and JJ Thomas.

Congrats Super Mario!!!

BaG Blog COY

Why wait til the season is over? After the big win over Blue Ridge in the D2 final, Old Forge softball coach Pat Revello is officially the first ever - and this year's - Blue and Gold Blog Coach of the Year!!!
